Professor Min Qiu from the School of Engineering at Westlake University has recently been selected as a 2026 Distinguished Lecturer by the IEEE Photonics Society.

This honor recognizes outstanding speakers who have made significant technical, industrial, or entrepreneurial contributions to the field of photonics, while also providing high-quality academic resources to chapters worldwide.The IEEE Photonics Society Distinguished Lecturer Program aims to promote the dissemination of knowledge and technical exchange in photonics by inviting leading experts to deliver topical lectures, thereby enhancing the quality of academic activities across its global chapters. Selected Distinguished Lecturers will be available throughout 2026 to present invited talks at chapter meetings, chapter-related events, or technically co-sponsored international conferences.
