On August 13, 2023, the National Optics and Optical Engineering Doctoral Academic League - Finals, co-sponsored by Light: Science & Applications, iCANX, and the Organizing Committee of the International Day of Light of UNESCO, was successfully concluded for the PhD students of Optics and Optical Engineering and its interdisciplinary disciplines across China. The 2023 National Optics and Optical Engineering Doctoral Academic League - Finals was successfully concluded.

Shang Xinggang, a 2019 PhD student, participated in the competition and won the First Prize of National Top 100, and Prof. Qiu Min and Prof. Zhou Nanjia were awarded the title of National Top 100 Mentors.
